How sessions work

When we first meet we will talk about what matters to you, and what you would like to see different as a result of counselling.

You can decide on whether to have your sessions in the counselling room, or if you would prefer to walk and talk.

I offer weekly sessions lasting 50 minutes. The length of time each person attends depends on the complexity of their issues and their own wishes.

How we behave and react to situations is learnt in our early years. I can help you to make sense of what you have learnt by exploring your past, this way of working is known as psychotherapy. I can also help you to look at what you do well and how those strengths can be best utilised to make your life more enjoyable.
